Mods folders for Cities Skylines

Having talked about Cities Skylines save folders in the previous article, it’s time for mods. Mods, or modifications, are new in-game content created for players by players and as anything you want to put in your game as an addition, they need to be saved somewhere. To make it easier for you, I have prepared this article. Let’s get started!

Mod folders for Windows?

To find mod save folders for Windows, you need to search the following:

%LOCALAPPDATA%/Colossal_Order/Cities_Skylines/Addons

In case you want to search for the folders in your SteamApps, you can try

[SteamLibrary]/SteamApps/common/Cities_Skylines/Addons

It can happen that you do not see your folders. If that happens, select “show hidden folders” in your operating system. After that, you should see the LOCALAPPDATA and Colossal Order as in the path above.

Mod folders for MacBook?

For McBook, you need to search the following:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application_Support/Colossal_Order/Cities_Skylines/Addons

In case you need to find the folders in your SteamApps, you can try

[SteamLibrary]/SteamApps/common/Cities_Skylines/Addons

For MacBook, the searching process is not so easy and you have to use Shift + Command + G. This way you can search folders directly.

Mod folders for Linux?

For Linux, it is again something different and you need to  look for the following:

/home/<username>/.local/share/Colossal_Order/Cities_Skylines/Addons

In case you want to search for the folders in your SteamApps, try

[SteamLibrary]/SteamApps/common/Cities_Skylines/Addons

Mod folders for GeForce Now?

With GeForce Now, it is a little bit complicated. Simply put, mods do not work here and for that reason, it is a shame, but there’s no place to save them. You should use one of the options above.
