Based on the gameplay trailer we got, the new purple zones will be offices. We should see this detail in one of the screenshots in the latest gameplay trailer.

… what it will look in your city can be seen in the following images. You should see that there will be two types of offices (small and large). Personally, I think Colossal Order will extend this game mechanic in the future. According to that, it is possible that we will have more types of offices like we have in Cities Skylines. We can’t wait!
